Spicy Chili Crab Noodles
Spicy Chili Crab Noodles is a popular dish in Christmas Island Cuisine, known for its bold flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh crab, cleaned and cracked
- 8 oz rice noodles
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, red chilies, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add crab pieces to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste, and chicken broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss to combine with the crab mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper, then garnish with green onions before serving.
