Spicy Choila (तेलको चोयला)
तेलको चोयला (Spicy Choila) is a traditional Newari dish known for its bold flavors and spicy kick. This dish is typically made with marinated and grilled meat, often buffalo or chicken, and is a popular choice for gatherings and celebrations in Nepal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb buffalo or chicken, cut into small pieces
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 fresh green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the meat with mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a pan on the stovetop and add the marinated meat. Cook until the meat is tender and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, transfer the meat to a mixing bowl and add chopped green chilies, red onions, and fresh cilantro. Mix well.
- तेलको चोयला (Spicy Choila) is ready to be served. Enjoy it with beaten rice or as an appetizer with drinks.
