Spicy Chuchuk with Horse Meat (Чучук с кониной)

Ingredients

  • 500g horse meat, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 hot peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the horse meat and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the tomatoes, hot peppers, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat.
  8. Serve the spicy chuchuk hot, accompanied by bread or rice.
