Spicy Fish Curry

Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Sauté until the seeds crackle.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add coconut milk and bring the curry to a gentle simmer.
- Gently add the fish pieces and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
- Adjust the seasoning and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
