Spicy Gongura Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup gongura leaves (sorrel leaves)
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add the gongura leaves, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is tender and the gongura leaves are cooked.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
