Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup groundnut powder (or peanut powder)
  • 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the groundnut powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, and salt to make the spice rub.
  2. Add the vegetable oil to the spice rub and mix to form a paste.
  3. Thread the beef cubes onto the soaked skewers, then generously coat the beef with the spice paste.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
  5. Grill the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness and has a nice char.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
