Spicy Grilled Chicken (peshawari Charsi Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil to make the marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces with the marinade and let it sit for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Place the marinated chicken pieces on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and charred.
  5. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
