Spicy Haku Chhoila (तातेको हाकु छोयला)
तातेको हाकु छोयला (Spicy Haku Chhoila) is a traditional Newari dish that is popular in Nepal. It is made with marinated buffalo meat that is grilled and then seasoned with various spices, resulting in a flavorful and spicy dish.
Ingredients
- 500g buffalo meat, cut into small pieces
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2-3 fresh green chilies, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the buffalo meat with mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill and then grill the marinated meat until it is cooked through and has a nice charred flavor.
- Once the meat is grilled, transfer it to a mixing bowl and add chopped green chilies, red onions, and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well to combine.
- तातेको हाकु छोयला (Spicy Haku Chhoila) is ready to be served. Garnish with additional coriander leaves and serve as an appetizer or snack.
