Spicy Hazaragi Lamb Kebabs (Kabob-e Gousfand)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, cubed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the chopped onion, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, cumin, yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the cubed lamb to the marinade and coat the meat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
