Ingredients
- 500g thinly sliced beef
- 300g lamb, thinly sliced
- 300g firm tofu, cubed
- 200g enoki mushrooms
- 200g napa cabbage, sliced
- 150g glass noodles
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup spicy hot pot sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
Instructions
- Prepare the hot pot broth by bringing the chicken broth to a boil in a large pot. Add the spicy hot pot sauce, garlic, green onions, and ginger. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- While the broth is simmering, arrange the beef, lamb, tofu, mushrooms, napa cabbage, and glass noodles on a large serving platter.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a hot pot or large skillet over medium heat. Add the Sichuan peppercorns and toast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Transfer the hot pot broth to a tabletop burner and place it in the center of the dining table.
- Each diner can then cook their desired ingredients in the simmering broth, retrieving them with chopsticks or a strainer.
