Spicy Hotpot Adventure (麻辣火锅探险)

Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced beef
  • 300g firm tofu, cubed
  • 200g enoki mushrooms, trimmed
  • 150g napa cabbage, sliced
  • 150g glass noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp chili bean paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add the garlic, Sichuan peppercorns, chili bean paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper to the broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the beef, tofu, mushrooms, and napa cabbage to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the glass noodles and green onions to the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the hotpot in individual bowls and enjoy!
