Spicy Lamb (bhedako Masu)
Spicy Lamb (Bhedako Masu) is a traditional Nepalese dish that is bursting with flavor and spice. This dish is perfect for those who enjoy a little heat in their meals.
Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 tomatoes, pureed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the lamb cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato puree, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover and cook for 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
