Spicy Lamb (bhedako Masu)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg lamb, cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the lamb cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in the tomato puree, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Cover and cook for 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
