Spicy Lamb Kebabs (Mangalî Gosht)
Mangalî Gosht, also known as Spicy Lamb Kebabs, is a traditional dish from Kurdish cuisine that is bursting with flavors and spices. These juicy and tender kebabs are perfect for grilling and are sure to be a hit at any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs lamb, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers.
- Grill the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
