Spicy Lemongrass Beef Skewers (Bò nướng sả)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, shallots, fish sauce, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, chili flakes, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
  5. Grill the beef skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
