Spicy Meat Curry (peshawari Karahi)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add meat cubes and cook until they change color.
  5. Stir in chopped tomatoes, green chilies, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  6. Whisk yogurt and add it to the pan. Cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
