Ingredients
- 4 pabda fish fillets
- 2 tbsp mustard paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 cup mustard oil
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the fish fillets with turmeric powder and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix mustard paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to form a smooth paste.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish fillets until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the mustard paste mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add water and green chilies, then bring to a simmer.
- Gently slide the fried fish fillets into the gravy and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Once the fish is cooked through and the gravy has thickened, remove from heat.
