Spicy Mutton Stir Fry (mutton Chilly)
Spicy Mutton Stir Fry, also known as Mutton Chilly, is a popular dish in Mangalurean Catholic Cuisine. This fiery and flavorful dish is perfect for spice lovers and can be enjoyed with steamed rice or bread.
Ingredients
- 500g mutton, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 capsicum, diced
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until they turn golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the mutton pieces, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the mutton is tender.
- Once the mutton is cooked, add the diced capsicum and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce and garam masala, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
