Spicy Naga Style Chicken Curry
Spicy Naga Style Chicken Curry is a traditional dish from the Naga Cuisine, known for its fiery flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 4-5 green chilies, slit
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 5-6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now, add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato puree, green chilies, and all the spices. Mix well.
- Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the curry has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
