Spicy Papaya Salad (Bok L'hong)

Ingredients

  • 1 green papaya, shredded
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 2-3 Thai chili peppers
  • 2 tablespoons palm sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a mortar and pestle, pound the garlic and Thai chili peppers together.
  2. Add the palm sugar, fish sauce, and lime juice to the mortar and mix well.
  3. Add the shredded papaya and tomato wedges to the mortar and gently pound to combine.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a serving plate and sprinkle with roasted peanuts.
