Spicy Peanut Noodles (Nouilles aux arachides épicées)
Nouilles aux arachides épicées, or Spicy Peanut Noodles, is a popular dish in Malagasy cuisine. This flavorful and satisfying noodle dish is perfect for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) of rice noodles
- 1/2 cup (125g) of peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup (60ml) of water
- 1/4 cup (30g) of chopped peanuts for garnish
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Gradually whisk in the water until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Toss the cooked noodles with the spicy peanut sauce until well coated.
- Divide the noodles among serving bowls and garnish with chopped peanuts and green onions.
