Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, and curry leaves. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
- Now, add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add black pepper powder and coconut milk. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the gravy thickens.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
