Spicy Porridge (bubur Pedas Surprise)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, halved

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine the rice, water, lemongrass, red chilies, ginger, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes or until the rice is soft and the porridge has thickened.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and fry the hard-boiled eggs until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. To serve, ladle the porridge into bowls and top with the fried eggs.
