Spicy Prawn Balchao

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add the tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  4. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Pour in the vinegar and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the prawns and cook until they are done.
  7. Spicy Prawn Balchao is ready to be served hot with steamed rice or bread.
