Ingredients
- 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Now add the tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
- Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Pour in the vinegar and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the prawns and cook until they are done.
- Spicy Prawn Balchao is ready to be served hot with steamed rice or bread.
