Ingredients
- 3 cups rice flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- Oil for deep-frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, sugar, baking powder, cumin seeds, green chilies, turmeric powder, and chopped onions.
- Add water gradually and mix well to form a thick batter. The batter should be of dropping consistency.
- Heat oil in a deep pan for deep-frying.
- Scoop a spoonful of the batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil to form a round shape. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried sel roti from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
