Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small cubes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2-3 tablespoons Hunan chili paste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken cubes with soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken and stir-fry until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the Hunan chili paste and sugar, stir-fry for a minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Return the cooked chicken to the wok and toss to coat in the spicy sauce.
- Transfer the spicy sesame chicken to a serving plate and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
