Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder, and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add the shrimp, green chilies, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp is cooked through.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
