Spicy Shrimp Bhuna

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add the shrimp, green chilies, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp is cooked through.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
