Spicy Tofu and Vegetable Stir-Fry (辣味豆腐炒菜)

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed tofu and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil in the same skillet.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sliced red chili, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the tofu to the skillet and add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
