Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3-4 dried red chili peppers, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, julienned
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add the chopped dried red chili peppers and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the minced garlic, julienned ginger, and chopped green onions. Stir-fry for another 30 seconds.
- Add the cubed tofu and stir gently to combine with the aromatics.
- Pour in the soy sauce, sugar, salt, and water. Stir gently to mix everything together.
- Cover the wok and let the tofu cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Uncover the wok and continue to cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coated the tofu.
- Transfer the spicy tofu explosion to a serving dish and garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired.
