Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp doubanjiang (spicy broad bean paste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and green onions. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned.
- Stir in the doubanjiang, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
- Add the tofu and gently stir to combine with the pork mixture.
- Pour in the broth and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Add salt to taste.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
