Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, blended into a puree
- 3 tablespoons chili paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in the blended tomato puree, chili paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, sugar, and salt. Cook the sauce for 10 minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces to the sauce and coat them evenly. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve hot.
