Spicy Tuna Samosas
Spicy Tuna Samosas are a popular snack in Seychellois cuisine, known for their delicious filling and crispy pastry shell. These samosas are filled with a flavorful mixture of tuna, spices, and vegetables, making them a perfect appetizer or snack for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the tuna, onion, bell pepper, garlic, curry powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Place one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter.
- Place a spoonful of the tuna mixture at one end of the pastry sheet.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle, then continue folding to the end of the pastry sheet.
- Repeat with the remaining pastry sheets and filling.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the samosas until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the spicy tuna samosas hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
