Spinach And Cottage Cheese Curry (bhojpuri Palak Paneer)

Ingredients
- 2 cups spinach, washed and chopped
- 200g cottage cheese (paneer), cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until onions are golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute. Then, add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Stir in turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook until it wilts.
- Gently add the cubed cottage cheese and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and garam masala. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
