Spinach Pie Italian

Ingredients
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Spoon the spinach mixture into the pie crust and spread it out evenly.
- Place the second pie crust on top and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
- Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg.
- Make a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
