Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking dish.
