Steak Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz. pasta of your choice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 5 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and return the cooked steak to the skillet. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Serve the steak pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
