Ingredients

  • 4 beef steaks
  • 4 Portuguese rolls
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef steaks with minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes.
  5. In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the sliced onions until caramelized.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches by placing the steak and caramelized onions on the Portuguese rolls. Add a slice of cheese if desired.
