  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Place the chicken in a heatproof dish that fits inside a steamer.
  3. In a small bowl, mash the fermented black beans with the back of a spoon.
  4. Spread the black beans over the chicken breasts.
  5. Sprinkle the minced garlic, ginger, and green onions over the chicken.
  6. In another bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, and chicken broth.
  7. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  8. Steam the chicken over high heat for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  9. Once the chicken is cooked, carefully remove it from the steamer.
  10. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and spoon the black bean sauce over the top.
