Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 200g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in a steaming dish.
  2. Spread the sliced mushrooms over the chicken.
  3. Top with ginger, garlic, and green onions.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Pour the mixture over the chicken and mushrooms.
  5. Pour chicken broth around the edges of the dish.
  6. Cover the dish with a lid or foil and steam over high heat for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
