Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpea flour
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon fruit salt (eno)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- A handful of chopped coriander leaves
- Grated coconut for garnish
- Few curry leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, yogurt, ginger paste, green chili, turmeric powder, salt, and sugar to make a smooth batter.
- Add fruit salt to the batter and mix well.
- Pour the batter into a greased steaming dish and steam for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add sesame seeds and curry leaves. Pour this tempering over the steamed dhokla.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
- Cut into squares and serve.
