Ingredients
- 4 fillets of white fish (such as tilapia or cod)
- 3 tablespoons mustard oil
- 4 tablespoons mustard paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2-3 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1/2 cup water
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together mustard oil, mustard paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and sugar to make a marinade.
- Coat the fish fillets with the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes.
- Place the marinated fish in a steaming dish and add slit green chilies on top.
- Pour water into the steaming dish.
- Cover the dish with a lid and steam the fish for 15-20 minutes until it is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
