  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mash the fermented black beans with a fork.
  2. Place the pork ribs in a heatproof dish or a steaming plate.
  3. Sprinkle the mashed black beans, minced garlic, and minced ginger over the pork ribs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, sesame oil, and water. Pour this sauce over the pork ribs.
  5. Place the dish in a steamer over boiling water and steam for 45 minutes, or until the pork ribs are tender.
  6. Sprinkle chopped green onions on top before serving.
