Ingredients
- 200g rice flour
- 300ml water
- 100g char siu (Chinese BBQ pork), sliced
- 50g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup sweet soy sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour and water to make the rice roll batter. Set aside.
- Prepare the filling by mixing the char siu, shrimp, and green onions with soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil. Pour a thin layer of the rice roll batter into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until set.
- Place a portion of the filling on the cooked rice roll, then carefully roll it up. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.
- Steam the rolled rice rolls for 8-10 minutes until heated through.
- Serve the steamed rice rolls with sweet soy sauce drizzled on top.
