Ingredients

  • 200g rice flour
  • 300ml water
  • 100g char siu (Chinese BBQ pork), sliced
  • 50g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sweet soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the rice flour and water to make the rice roll batter. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the filling by mixing the char siu, shrimp, and green onions with soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil. Pour a thin layer of the rice roll batter into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until set.
  4. Place a portion of the filling on the cooked rice roll, then carefully roll it up. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.
  5. Steam the rolled rice rolls for 8-10 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve the steamed rice rolls with sweet soy sauce drizzled on top.
