Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon mustard paste
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1/2 cup mustard oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the cleaned shrimp with turmeric powder, red chili powder, mustard paste, grated coconut, green chilies, mustard oil, and salt. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the marinated shrimp mixture to a heatproof bowl or plate suitable for steaming.
- Prepare a steamer and bring the water to a boil. Place the bowl/plate with the shrimp mixture in the steamer.
- Cover and steam for about 15-20 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through.
- Once done, remove from the steamer and serve hot with steamed rice.
