Steamed Stuffed Crab Shells (Zhēng Bǎo Yángxiè)

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh crab shells
  • 200g ground pork
  • 50g shrimp, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the meat from the crab shells and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, eggs, soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, water chestnuts, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fill each crab shell with the pork and shrimp mixture.
  4. Place the filled crab shells in a steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes until the filling is cooked through.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
