Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 100g ground pork
  • 2-3 shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu by cutting it into thick slices and carefully scooping out a small pocket in the center of each slice.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shiitake mushrooms, green onion, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and sugar.
  3. Stuff the tofu pockets with the filling mixture.
  4. Place the stuffed tofu slices in a steaming dish and pour the chicken broth over them.
  5. Cover the dish and steam over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the tofu is tender and the filling is cooked through.
