Steamed Sweet Yogurt (bhapa Doi Delight)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the plain yogurt, condensed milk, sugar, and cardamom powder until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
  3. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in a steamer or a large pot with a steamer basket.
  4. Steam the yogurt mixture for 30 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Once done, remove from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
