Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 200g chestnuts, peeled
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions to the pot. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Add the chestnuts and chicken broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Transfer the stewed chicken and chestnuts to a serving dish. Serve hot and enjoy!
