Stir-Fried Beef with Black Pepper Sauce (黑椒炒牛肉)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until it changes color. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  4. In the same wok, add more oil if needed. Stir-fry the onion and bell pepper until slightly softened.
  5. Return the beef to the wok. Add crushed black peppercorns and salt to taste. Stir-fry until everything is well combined.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
