Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, sesame oil, and water to make the sauce.
  2. Marinate the beef with half of the sauce for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  4. Stir-fry the beef until browned, then remove from the wok and set aside.
  5. Heat the remaining oil in the wok, then add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  6. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return the beef to the wok, pour in the remaining sauce, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
