Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Season the shrimp with soy sauce, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir-fry for another minute.
- Splash the Shaoxing wine around the edges of the wok and stir-fry for a final 30 seconds.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
